AI Mode

AI Mode is Google's conversational search experience: a separate view where people ask longer, more complex questions and follow up, and Google answers with AI. It uses a technique Google calls query fan-out, running many related searches at once, and combines web results with Google's business data for local questions.

For "a kid-friendly dentist in Denver open Saturdays that takes Delta Dental", AI Mode breaks the question into parts, searches each, and combines web pages with Google's place data (categories, hours, ratings, reviews) into one answer, often with place cards.
